The Glenelg Country girls basketball team jumped out in front of IAAM C Conference rival Beth T’Filoh early and rolled to a 47-33 victory, snapping a six-game losing streak.

The Dragons (3-6 IAAM C, 3-7) were paced by sophomore guards Kendra Isaacs and Sabrina DeLeonibus, who scored 15 and 14 points respectively.

“The youthful team looked reinvigorated as they passed the ball well on offense and applied strong half-court pressure on defense,” Dragons coach Ed Conroy said. “I am very proud of how the girls rebounded after some tough losses last week to come out today and play together and with a lot of energy.”

Glenelg Country returns to the court tomorrow to face Garrison Forest before welcoming Key School on Friday. The game against Key will be Senior Night, celebrating Hannah Harbold and Ogechi Nwodim.
