Marriotts Ridge’s string of shutouts to open the season reached seven Thursday.

Getting goals from Nick Applegate and Jonathan Muth, to go along with five saves from Ryan Miller, the Mustangs knocked off visting Howard, 2-0.

Tied with Centennial at 7-0 in league play, Marriotts Ridge has now outscored the opposition 25-0. In addition to his goal, Muth also provided the assist on Applegate’s score.

In the loss, Howard goalie Jake Claunch made six saves.
