Happy Thanksgiving! As a nation, today is a special day to give thanks for our many blessings. As a community, let us be grateful for our Bond Mill Elementary School, caring neighbors new and old and an all-volunteer civic association that watches out for our interests every single day.
I am thankful for my home, my family and my friends sweetly nestled here in West Laurel.
The holidays are officially here. You can start your holiday shopping on Saturday, Dec. 1 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. by dropping by Yvonne Breedlove's house at 6209 Forest Mill Lane for the eighth annual Holiday Boutique. Yvonne will be offering Tastefully Simple, with other Laurel moms selling products from Brilliant Alternative Jewelry, Pampered Chef and Thirty One Bags. There will be plenty of good food to sample and there are door prizes awarded all day long. Come by and visit with the neighbors and check a few presents off your naughty and nice list.
There are just a few reservations still available for the Woman's Club of Laurel's Breakfast with Santa on Saturday, Dec. 1. The breakfast is homemade, the atmosphere is cozy and Santa visits all day with lots of photo opportunities. Make a special holiday memory with the kids, the grandkids, godchild or nieces and nephews. The Women's Club clubhouse is at 384 Main St. Reservations are required; call 301 490-8053.
Enjoy the turkey and fixings. Be sure to send me an email to let me know where the brightest and biggest holiday lights are.Copyright © 2015, The Baltimore Sun
