Laurel Police Chief Richard McLaughlin announced five appointees to his Citizens Advisory Committee for Ward 2 Monday.
The appointees are Roy Gilmore, Amna Mohyuddin, Shavoune Desper, Lorse Redfield and Brian Cox. They will serve as volunteers on the committee for two-year terms.
McLaughlin began the program earlier this year to give the community "a voice within the Police Department."
Volunteers who live, work or own a business in Ward 2 can still apply for several positions on the Ward 2 committee.
