March also features two performances in the Montpelier Spring Jazz Series at the Montpelier Arts Center.

The performance on Friday, March 16, at 8 p.m., features Ethel Ennis and her trio. Baltimore- based Ennis has sung to critical acclaim all over the world, including touring with the late, great Benny Goodman.

On Friday, March 23, at 8 p.m., Virginia native Dick Morgan returns with his group for an evening of jazz standards. Call 301-377-7800 for reservations.

On Saturday, March 17, at 6 p.m., celebrate International Women's Month with the final film in the Montpelier Arts Center's dinner and a movie series.

"Breaking Through the Clouds" is a documentary about the first all-female air race in the 1920s. Pioneering pilots, including Amelia Earhart, are featured in the film. The dinner will replicate the banquet held at the beginning of this historical race.

Tickets for both dinner and the film are $25 and must be bought by noon on Friday, March 16. Tickets for the film only are available for $10 on the day of the screening; seating is limited and film-only tickets may not always be available. Seniors (60+) and arts center members receive a 10 percent discount.

Call the Montpelier Arts Center to purchase tickets with either Visa or MasterCard.
