Another exciting and memorable day for Maryland City Elementary School staff and students occurred on Friday, Sept. 14. Not only has the school been listed recently as a Green Status School, but now they are the proud recipients of the AACPS Wellness School of Distinction Award for this year. Schools in Anne Arundel County who receive this award are recognized for promoting wellness throughout the school and community by going above and beyond a curriculum for school health established by the Centers of Disease Control. By working together with local businesses and surrounding communities, the staff and students of Maryland City Elementary engaged in various activities emphasizing the importance of health and well being for everyone. Congratulations to Maryland City Elementary School!
