Car seat technicians will check that car seats and boosters are installed properly in vehicles at a free check point at the Laurel Volunteer Fire Department, 7411 Cherry Lane, on Saturday, March 2 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
The car seat check is sponsored by the Prince George’s County Police Department and the Prince George’s Community Federal Credit Union.
Car seats should already be installed before arriving. A car seat check takes about 30 minutes, police said, and appointments are not necessary. Police ask that drivers bring manufacturer's instruction manuals for both cars and car seats, if available.
