The Vikings were able to outscore the Scorpions, 9-4, in the decisive fourth quarter to win a defensive battle.

Meghan Doherty scored a team-high 10 points and Megan Konig added eight. Doherty and freshman Gabrielle Green both scored four points over the final eight minutes for Mt. Hebron.

Lauren Thompson finished with a game-high 11 points and Karigan Awkward added 10 for Oakland Mills.

The Lightning went on a 9-0 run late in the fourth to break a 29-29 tie with about four minutes left to pull away.

Olivia Callan (19 points) nailed a 3-pointer and added a bucket, while Destini Joyce had a field goal and two free throws.

Chelsea Mitchell (13 points) drained a 3-pointer with less than a minute left to help the Raiders close to within two points but Long Reach was able to hold on.
