Mt. Hebron 50, Reservoir 28

Sophomore Meghan Doherty scored a game-high 15 points and Megan Konig added 10 for the Vikings, who jumped out to a 10-4 advantage after the first quarter and led 28-6 at the half.

The Gators, led by Blair Bonner and Candace Johnson, suffered their first loss of the season and played without starting point guard Keri Rager and all-county forward Zelor Massaquoi.

“We knew that we had two tough games back-to-back with Reservoir and River Hill tomorrow,” Mt. Hebron coach Tony Bell said. “So we definitely needed one of those games - both would awesome, but we needed one to stay in hunt.”

“They were missing two starters so that definitely had something to do with it but we did a great job on defense.”
