Mt. Hebron senior Nate Gainey had an outstanding indoor track season this winter, winning a 3A East regional gold medal in the 300, and becoming a state champion in the 500 in a time of 66.7 seconds.
Gainey, who also placed second in the 300 at states in a postseason best time of 35.16, has kicked off the outdoor season strong, running the 100, 200, 400, hurdles and three different sprint relays.
The senior took a moment with us after the state indoor track meet to talk about life on and off the track.
