Delays expected for westbound traffic on Patapsco River Bridge

Westbound traffic on the newly reconstructed Patapsco River Bridge on Route 40 — connecting Baltimore and Howard counties — is scheduled to be shifted back to the original bridge Thursday, Dec. 27, but will be reduced to one lane as construction crews dismantle the temporary bridge structures.
