If I was going to vote with my head in November ("In 2012, Americans should vote with their heads, not their hearts," letter, July 12), who would I vote for?
Why, I'd vote for the guy who rescued the country when it was on the brink of economic collapse.
I'd vote for the guy who saved the U.S. auto industry.
I'd vote for the guy who did what politicians and administrations had been trying to do for decades, get a national health plan through Congress.
I'd vote for the guy who has fought for American jobs and spending on U.S. infrastructure. I'd vote for the guy with the policies that benefited vets, small businesses, and the less fortunate, the unemployed and those facing foreclosure on their homes, casualties of the "Great Recession."
I'd vote for the guy who is trying to get the wealthy and powerful to "play by the rules" and pay their fair share of taxes so everyone can have a "fair shake."
I'd vote for the guy who brought America's Public Enemy #1, Osama Bin Laden, to justice, and I'd vote for the guy who got us out of Iraq and will get us out of Afghanistan.
Lastly, I'd vote for the guy with the vision for America that isn't one of social and economic Darwinism. The guy who doesn't favor the rich and powerful and leave the poor and middle class behind.
If I was going to vote with my head in November, I'd vote for Barak Obama !
