Prince George's County Public Schools appointed two new chiefs, the system announced last week.

Daryl Williams has been named Chief of Student Services and Clarence Stukes has been named Chief of Supporting Services.

Williams comes to Prince George's County after having served as Title I coordinator in Charles County Public Schools. He has worked in education for 23 years.

Williams will oversee appeals, pupil personnel services and student engagement and school support.

"In five years, I envision Prince George's County Public Schools being among the best-performing school districts in the state of Maryland," Williams said in a news release.

Stukes, who will oversee building services, food and nutrition services, capital programs, transportation and safety and security services, said in the release he was excited to work for the school system "for the benefit of the students."

Formerly assistant superintendent of facilities and operations for Arlington County Public School, Stukes has worked in public education for more than 24 years.
