Prince George's County Council member Mary Lehman will hold a Back to School Extravaganza Saturday, Sept. 8 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at High Point High School, 3600 Powder Mill Road, in Beltsville. This free event, open to District 1 families, offers free groceries, school supplies, uniforms, haircuts, physicals, dental checks and eye exams.
Lehman's office is currently in the process of collecting school supplies, uniforms and non-perishable food to offer to families to need at the event. Donations may be dropped off weekday between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m at the Beltsville Seventh-day Adventist Church. Bring donations to church's back entrance.
