Join the Race for Innovation at Johns Hopkins University APL

The Race for Innovation, a challenge to move from idea to business concept in four hours, will be held Tuesday, June 19, from 1 to 5 p.m., at the Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Lab's Kossiakoff Center, 11100 Johns Hopkins Road, in North Laurel. Cost is $25, or $15 for students. Participants form teams around their favorite ideas; teams work with coaches to transform ideas into business concepts; and groups pitch their ideas to investors and win awards. Race for Innovation will be followed by Howard Technology Council's annual Tech Awards, from 6 to 9 p.m Guest speaker Bob Wallace, CEO and founder of BITHGROUP Technologies, BITHENERGY Inc. and EntreTeach Learning Systems, will speak on "Nine Principles of Entrepreneurs and Growth."
