Route 29 southbound near Route 32 has been reopened after an early morning accident in which a tractor trailer overturned, blocking the entire road and causing police to redirect traffic.
The driver of the tractor trailer and a passenger sustained minor injuries from the accident, which occurred around 9:35 a.m. Friday, according to Howard County Police spokeswoman Mary T. Phelan. Both were transported via ambulance to Howard County General Hospital as a precaution.
No other vehicles were involved, she said, and the cause of the accident has not been determined.
Phelan said the truck was carrying food products. A small gasoline spill from the accident was cleaned up.
