Mark and Heather Bankert
Neuman and Jo Ann Bankert Jr., of Columbia, announce the marriage of their son, Mark Morris Bankert, to Heather Elaine Seals, daughter of Eugene and Elaine Seals Jr., of Morganton, N.C., on May 7, 2011.
The groom is a 2005 graduate of Cedar Brook Academy and a 2009 graduate of Salisbury University, where he earned a bachelor's degree in communications. He is employed as a claims representative for the Social Security Administration, in Gastonia, N.C.
The bride is a 2002 graduate of McDowell High School, in Marion, N.C.; a 2006 graduate of Campbell University, where she earned a bachelor's degree in history; and a 2009 graduate of Valparaiso University, in Valparaiso, Ind., where she earned a law degree. She is employed as an attorney for Legal Aid of North Carolina, in Morganton, N.C.
The ceremony and reception were held at Hidden River Events, in Swannanoa, N.C. Dr. Jeanne Sommer officiated.
Matthew Bankert, the brother of the groom, served as the best man. Tyler Pender, a lifelong friend of the bride, served as the matron of honor.
