Laurel crime log: Armed robbery at Garden Inn

Anne Arundel County police report major crimes. Howard County police report major crimes, break-ins and car thefts. Laurel Police and Prince George's County Police did not release crime reports before the Leader's deadline this week.

Anne Arundel County

Laurel Fort Meade Road, 3400 block, 8:30 p.m., June 24. Armed robbery at Garden Inn. A male and another person approached by a male in poorly lit area of hotel, who placed object against victim's back implying a weapon and demanded property, removed the victim's wallet from rear of pants and ran away.

Howard County

North Laurel Road, 9000 block, 12:23 a.m. June 27. Two people approached four victims standing on corner and asked them to make change. When victims declined, the two people displayed gun. Cell phones and cash stolen. People fled in vehicle.

Redbridge Court, 9200 block, 9:57 a.m. June 26. Black 2004 Dodge Ram 1500 stolen.

Hammond Parkway, 7800 block, 1:16 a.m. June 26. Silver 2009 Nissan Versa stolen.

Blues Alley, 9100 block, 10:15 p.m. June 24. Entry gained by kicking in door. Electronics and jewelry stolen.

Lawson Lane, 9300 block, 8 a.m. June 24. Silver 2000 Nissan Xterra stolen.

Stebbing Way, 9000 block, between 9 p.m. June 23 and 9 p.m. June 24. Entry gained to Bowling Brook apartment complex pool by jumping fence. Property damaged.

Washington Boulevard, 10100 block, between 9 p.m. June 23 and 8:03 a.m. June 24. Entry gained to Perone Performance by breaking window. Owner detained two suspects on property until police arrived. Suspects charged with fourth-degree burglary.

Stebbing Way, 9100 block, 1:26 a.m. June 23. Known suspect confronted resident and forced open front door. Suspect arrested and charged with second-degree assault, fourth-degree burglary and malicious destruction of property.

Route 32 at Washington Boulevard, 11:48 p.m. June 21. White Chevy Suburban/Tahoe stolen.
