A man with a handgun robbed the Royal International Market near Maryland City Monday evening, taking cash and fleeing north toward Route 198, Anne Arundel County Police said.

Police said that around 7:43 p.m. Aug. 27, the man entered the market in the 3500 block of Laurel Fort Meade Road, showed a handgun to a store clerk and asked for money. The clerk complied and handed over an undisclosed amount of money.

Police searched the area with help from K-9 and aviation units, but did not locate the man.
