The bride-to-be is a 2008 graduate of Howard High School and is pursuing a degree in early childhood education. She is currently employed as a teacher at a daycare in Elkridge.
The future groom is a 2008 graduate from Arcadia University, where he earned a bachelor's degree in print communications. He is currently employed as a print technician at Coppin State University.
Tristan and Emily Spence
Frank and Susan Spence, of Glenwood, announce the marriage of their son, Tristan Franklin Spence, to Emily Elizabeth McHugh, daughter of Tom and Linda McHugh, of Pittsburgh, Pa., on July 9.
The wedding and reception were held at the Marriott City Center, in Pittsburgh.
The bride is a 2000 graduate of Shaler Area High School, in Pittsburgh, and a 2005 graduate of Indiana University of Pennsylvania, in Indiana, Pa., where she earned a Bachelor of Science in English education. She is currently employed as an eighth grade language arts teacher in the Maryland public school system.
The groom is a 1998 graduate of Glenelg High School and a 2002 graduate of the University of Maryland, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in accounting. He earned his CPA certification in 2003. He is currently employed as controller at Coastal Sunbelt Produce, in Jessup.
Meghan von Geis was the maid of honor, and Zachary Abel served as the best man.
The couple honeymooned in St. Lucia. They currently reside inJessup.
Jen Litzenberger and Jamie Severt
Jen Litzenberger, daughter of Rita and the late Edward Litzenberger, of Laurel, announces her engagement to Jamie Severt, son of John and Randy Severt, of Columbia.
The bride-to-be is a 2005 graduate of Atholton High School; a 2009 graduate of Elon University, in Burlington, N.C., where she earned a Bachelor of Science; and is currently pursuing a master's degree in occupational therapy at Towson University, to be awarded in May 2012.
The future groom is a 2005 graduate of Atholton High School; a 2009 graduate of the University of Maryland, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts; and is currently pursuing a doctorate in psychology at The George Washington University, in Washington, to be awarded in 2012.
