Howard County Executive Ken Ulman has entered into a partnership with local government, lawyers, and educators to educate residents on bullying with showing of "Bully," a documentary highlighting the bullying crisis in our schools.
Showings will be on Sept. 29 and Oct. 6 at 11 a.m. at the AMC Theatre at the Columbia mall. The cost is $4 per for advanced tickets and $5 at the door. The cost is at a reduced rate provided by the Bar Foundation of Howard County.
Tickets can be purchased in advance at stopbullyinginhoward.eventbrite.com. Because of the sensitive nature of the film, tickets will be sold to adults 18 years or older only.
The Ladies Auxiliary of St. Michael's Catholic Church will host the Taylor Marie's Fashion Show and Luncheon on Sept. 29 from noon to 3:30 p.m.
The event will be held in the church's multi-purpose room. The cost is $12 per person.

The University of Maryland Extension will be sponsoring its third annual Farm-City Family Farm Walk on Sept. 22 at Clark's Elioak Farm from 8 to 9:30 a.m.
Families will be able to walk the 1.5-mile loop around Clark's historic farm through the Enchanted Forest Story Land characters and visit interactive stations along the way.
Learn about honeybees, how to plant lettuce at home, color a pumpkin, and taste local apples. The farm has lots of animals to pet. The best news is that admission is free!

The Knights of Columbus of St. Michael's Catholic Church will be sponsoring a youth soccer shootout contest on Sept. 29 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on the church grounds. Children ages 6-16 are invited to participate.
The contest consists of measuring the accuracy and distance of the throw in and the accuracy of kicking the ball into a zoned/marked goal net. Winners of the local contest will move on to the Knights of Columbus District contest and then on to the state contest in Baltimore on Nov. 10.
