The Young Professionals Network of Howard County, a program of the Howard County Chamber of Commerce, renewed the annual sponsorship agreement with Lakeview Title Co., a firm based in Columbia. YPN also receives sponsorship from the Columbia Association, the David Yungmann Realty Group, Loyola University Maryland's Sellinger School of Business and The Business Monthly.
Bonnie Heneson Communications, with offices in Columbia and Owings Mills, received two 2012 Apex Awards of Excellence for the firm's website and for Howard County General Hospital's summer 2011 issue of Wellness Matters. Communications Concepts sponsors the annual prizes.
Creative Images conferred a Silver Aster Award upon Bonnie Heneson Communications for a newspaper advertising campaign promoting Doctors Community Hospital's emergency department and another for a printed invitation to the hospital foundation's An Evening in Tropical Paradise gala. A Bronze Aster was earned for the website designed for Doctors Regional Cancer Center.
The Columbia Foundation partnered with Lincoln College of Technology, based in Columbia, to provide students with an opportunity to learn general office duties. The America Reads Federal Work Study Program funds the program.
OmniTI, a Columbia based provider of Web applications, announced a 25 percent increase in its client portfolio, including Wikipedia, USAir, Tumblr and Zagat.
