It's been a year since the Glenelg United Methodist Church opened its food pantry. Today, the pantry provides food to as many as 19 families each month. Helping this many families each month just about depletes their food supply.
Fortunately, donations continue to pour in so that there is plenty of food for those who need it. In September, Nick Crabill challenged the Glenelg High School football team to fill his pickup truck, which resulted in a huge donation to the pantry. A local Weight Watchers group and the Church of the Latter Day Saints in Clarksville are also making large donations.
Right now, the pantry could really use donations of fruit. If you would like to organize a group to make a large donation or would like more information about the food pantry, call 410-489-7260.
