West Friendship: Troop 794 celebrates 100th year of Girl Scouts with Thinking Day
March 12 marked the 100th anniversary of the Girl Scouts in the United States. When Juliette Gordon Low returned to Savannah, Ga., from England in 1912, she brought with her the idea for Girl Guides which she had learned about while in Scotland. Once back in America, Low was enthusiastic to start the group which eventually became the Girl Scouts.
