Moving one's household is such a pain in the gluteus maximus. It

doesn't seem to matter how much or how little time one has in which to

do the move; it is still such a pain.

happens when the move involves going from a

place where one has spent a lifetime accumulating the stuff that makes

up our lives to a much smaller residence such as a retirement condo, a

nursing home and the like?

In a downsizing move

like this, you would want someone that knows what needs to be done.

Highland neighbors Kim McMahon and Allison Pihl, partners in and owners

of Let's Move/Let's Organize, are two such people.

However, neither Kim

nor Allison started out in this field. Kim attended Loyola University in

Baltimore, earning an MBA. She worked for Lucent Technologies and AT&T

where she gained experience that has

helped direct the growth of Let's Move/Let's Organize

to include the Baltimore/Washington corridor, and, most recently, Northern

Virginia.

Allison attended Stanford University, graduating with a B.S.

in Electrical Engineering and an A.B. in Art History. She, too, has an MBA,

from the Darden Graduate School of Business Administration

at UVA in Charlottesville, Va. She also draws upon her corporate background at

Deloitte Consulting and in the high-tech industry.

Both Kim and Allison are professionals. Kim is currently the president

of the National Association of Senior Move Managers.

Allison is a member of the National Association of Senior Move Managers

and serves on the NASMM Accreditation Committee.
