Howard County Rec and Parks will hold its Spring Egg Hunt March 24 at the North Laurel Community Center from 3 to 4 p.m. Bring your basket to collect eggs.

The hunt will start on time so make sure you arrive early. After the hunt, there will also be some crafts for the children. Register your child, 2 to 10 years old, at the front desk.

Girl Scout Troop 1508 will be holding its annual community yard sale at the North Laurel Community Center on May 4, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Spaces are $15 each or $25 for a double and shopping is always free admission. The Reservoir Boosters are now accepting registration for their Boosters Summer Camps for students in second to ninth grades. There will be a variety of sports to choose from. The North Laurel Civic Association was just informed that the county has purchased land in the High Ridge Community to straighten parts of Old Scaggsville Road. The group works with the county on a number of issues in our community, especially new development and Route 1 Revitalization. They meet every third Thursday of the month at 7 p.m. at the North Laurel Community Center. Plan to attend their meetings and get involved in your community.
