Nicaraguan artists crafted bracelets, which they sold and then sent the money back to the project. The project founder was so thankful for their effort.

Happy 13th birthday to my grandson, Chris. I hope it's a wonderful day. I also want to wish an early birthday wish to my best friend, Kathy Harris, and to Sarah Blough and Laura Yingling.
Remember that if you want to wish someone you know a happy birthday or anniversary let me know at least two weeks before. Also, if you have any special announcements or a story about something here in the southeast part of the county, just send me a note.
I will be away for my daughter's wedding so my next column will be on Jan. 31. Happy wedding to Samantha and Darren and wishes for a wonderful life together.
