Were it not for those Bel Air Bobcats getting their rear ends handed to them by New Town last week, I would have had my first perfect week of the season. It's getting desperate here, as I've only got a few more weeks left before the playoffs roll around. Hopefully my week-nine picks will be flawless. Here's how I see everything shaking out:
Aberdeen at C. Milton Wright. The Eagles proved me right by winning the big game against Havre de Grace last week, and I don't see them having any trouble getting past the Mustangs. The pick: Aberdeen wins, 42-14.
Bel Air at Havre de Grace. The Warriors, stuck with a .500 record at 4-4, could use a victory after last week's loss to rival Aberdeen. I think they've got more than enough juice to knock off the Bobcats, but Bel Air has proven me wrong more than once this season. The pick: Havre de Grace wins, 21-10.
Perryville at Bo Manor. The undefeated Panthers walked all over Edgewood last week, and they are not going to go belly up for the Bo Manor boys. The pick: Perryville wins, 38-12.
Fallston at North Harford. Fallston has not been beaten yet, making them the only team besides Perryville with a perfect record, but the Cougars haven't played anybody as good as North Harford, either. The pick: the Hawks hand the Cougars their first loss, 28-21.
North East at Edgewood. It's tough to say how Edgewood will play out the rest of the season without Lavar Shannon in the backfield, but I'm behind them to win this game. The pick: Rams win, 24-17.
Patterson Mill at Elkton. The Huskies made short work of North East in week eight, and though this matchup will be a lot tougher, I still would put my money on them. The pick: Patterson Mill wins, 14-13.
Owings Mills at Joppatowne. The pick: Owings Mills wins, 23-18.
Rising Sun at Harford Tech. The pick: Rising Sun wins, 21-12.
Last week's record, 6-1
