At a tri-meet on Wednesday, Dec. 19, the Aberdeen wrestling team split its two matchups, beating host Harford Tech, 44-27, and losing, 60-10, to the Bel Air Bobcats.
During their 17-point combined win over Harford Tech, the Eagles saw things kicked off with Dylan Morris winning the 120-pound bout, 16-1, by technical fall.
Aberdeen's Travis Hubler took the 132-pound contest with a pin victory at the 1:17 mark, while fellow Eagle David Velez grabbed a dramatic win at 138 pound, beating his Cobra opponent in overtime, 1-0.
William Morris won the 152-pound bout for Aberdeen with an 8-6 decision, while Dylan Lucas helped the winning cause with a 9-5 victory in the 160-pound matchup.
Aberdeen's Frank Jiogo won the 170-pound bout, pinning his opponent in 2:49 and Adric Turner won the 285-pound bout for the Eagles with a pin at the 4:35 mark.
Aberdeen's 113-pound competitor Marcos Colon-Pappaterra won his bout with a pin at 1:04.
Harford Tech's Nathan Haskell won the 126-pound contest with a pin at the 3:31 mark.
The Cobras' Amari Jones won at 195 pounds, pinning his opponent in 2:34.
