The C. Milton Wright swim squad raced to victories over the Havre de Grace and Fallston teams at Magnolia Middle School Wednesday.

CMW knocked off Fallston, 124-64, and Havre de Grace, 133-54. Fallston beat Havre de Grace, 105-82.

CMW's Megan Cowan won the girls 100-yard backstroke and the 200-yard freestyle, while teammate Erika Abshire also earned a pair of victories in the girls 50-yard freestyle and 100-yard freestyle.

The CMW boys were led by Bernie Chang, who took top honors in the 100-yard backstroke and 200-yard freestyle.

Maggie Gallagher won the girls 100-yard breaststroke for the Mustangs, while Erika Slotnick helped the winning team with a victory in the 200-yard individual medley.

CMW's Jamie Hruz took first in the girls 100-yard butterfly, and teammate Andrew Youn won the boys 500-yard freestyle. Taking first in the boys 200-yard individual medley was the Mustangs' Colin Hildebeidel.

Fallston's Austin Appel took two victories: the boys 50-yard freestyle and 100-yard butterfly. In the 100-yard butterfly, Appel set a new school record of 53.96, breaking his own previous mark of 54.19.

Fallston's Madison Brown won the girls 100-yard freestyle, while Ryan Hutchens took first in the 100-yard breaststroke for the Cougars. Sam Burgess took first in the 100-yard freestyle for Fallston.

Chang, Hildebeidel, Ryan Pellegrino and Tyler DeLaRatta won the boys 200-yard medley relay, while the CMW girls team of Hruz, Gallagher, Cowan and Slotnick won the girls 200-yard medley relay.

Winning the boys 400-yard freestyle relay was the team of Chang, Youn, Hildebeidel and Pellegrino, while Slotnick, Gallagher, Cowan and Ida Ehrhardt took first in the girls 400-yard freestyle relay.

Fallston's team of Austin Appel, J.D. Appel, A.J. Lagan and Burgess won the boys 200-yard freestyle relay.

The Havre de Grace squad of Keynilie Pagan-Davila, Carrie Amato, Allissa Lyons and Alyssa Smith took first in the girls 200-yard freestyle relay.
