It is hard to believe that another year is about over. One where we have enjoyed great hunting and fishing thanks to many. We must thank DNR for our long and liberal hunting seasons. Now the only thing we need is more open land for hunters.
Both fresh and saltwater anglers have had the pleasure of some good fishing. I think DNR is doing a fine job of policing the Chesapeake Bay. They have provided some nice fat trout for our fresh water anglers. They have been involved in many stream and bay clean-up programs.
In the future, we will have the anti-gun lobby working hard to push through more gun restrictions. Those guns that look like they just came off a battlefield are not helping us.
It is Christmas time and we should be thinking of good things and happy times. I wish everyone, regardless of what season or holiday you honor, all the very best.
The weather has been great and it is hard not get out the fly rod and hit the streams. The trout are still abundant in Deer Creek and should strike any tasty bait or good looking lure or fly.
If the weather continues to be this good, you will be able to try out any new fishing gear Santa brings. Many ranges will still be open and shooting that new weapon is fun
From my home to yours a wish for everyone to have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year
