Playing just up the road from their high school at Winters Run Golf Course on Thursday afternoon, the Bel Air Bobcats turned in a smoking team score of 186 to top Fallston and Perryville.
"This is the lowest and most impressive team score Bel Air has shot since I started coaching four years ago," Bel Air golf coach Ryan Doyle said.
Fallston shot a 233, 47 shots behind Bel air, to take second place, while Perryville finished third with a team score of 240.
All five of Bel Air's golfers finished with nine-hole score under 40 strokes. Nick Loiodice led the way, carding a 35, while close behind was Matt Hottman, who shot a 36. Bel Air's Sam Foss and Cody Smith each shot a 38, while Tyler Newton came in with a score of 39.
Leading the Fallston team were James Appel and Zack Billings, who each carded a 44. Lucas Crofton shot a 47 for Fallston, while teammates Conner Von Scyoc and Tommy St. Clair both posted scores of 49.
CMW over North Harford, Harford Tech
C. Milton Wright shot a 215 at Ruggles Golf Course Thursday to top North Harford and Harford Tech.
North Harford carded a 218, while Tech came in with a 243.
Posting the lowest score of the afternoon was CMW's Ricky Scheeler, who carded a 36. Quentin Cummings notched a 39 in the victory, while teammate Ian Modle scored a 42. Josh Cobo and Matt Skrocki finished with scores of 46 and 52, respectively.
North Harford's Morgan Wirtz carded a 39, while Josh Nagenast had a 43. Tyler Stinar shot a 44, while Nick Kress and Luke Johnson both posted scores of 46.
Harford Tech's Noah Davis and Owen Rogers each had a team-best 45, while Mason Paradiso posted a 49. Andrew Small and Nick Gardner each shot a 52.Copyright © 2015, The Baltimore Sun
