In Wednesday's girls soccer match between North Harford and visiting Harford Tech, just one goal was scored, and it belonged to the hosts, as the Hawks came out with a 1-0 victory over the Cobras.
Eleven minutes into the first half, North Harford's Kelli Gerding blasted a shot into upper corner of the Harford Tech goal from 25 yards out, and that would be all the Hawks needed (and would get).
Hawk goalkeeper Emily Briggs earned her third shutout of the season, saving six shots.
Julie Ransone had 16 saves in the Harford Tech net.
Rams over Eagles
The Edgewood Rams earned a big victory on their home field Wednesday, beating the Chesapeake (upper) Division's Aberdeen Eagles, 2-1.
Scoring began when Aberdeen knocked a ball into its own net to put the Rams up, 1-0.
La'Dae Boykin scored the game's winning goal off of an assist from Morgan Kaseman.
