The Bel Air Bobcats won their road matchup with the North Harford girls soccer side on Wednesday night, dispatching the host-team Hawks 2-1.

Bel Air trailed 1-0 heading into the halftime break.

Brooke Lorber scored once and dished out one assist for the winning side, while Lindsay Tumminello supplied the Bobcats' other goal. Caroline Lozzi handed out one assist in the victory.

North Harford's lone tally was scored by Alicia Greene.

Pats whitewash Notre Dame

Playing on a rain-soaked field in Wednesday's matchup, the John Carroll Patriots managed to come away with a 3-0 victory over the Institute of Notre Dame, thanks to a three-goal performance from defender Sophi Centi.

"Normally, having home pitch is an advantage to the host's side, but because of the weather and scheduling this fall, [we] have played six home matches at four different venues, two of which have been on artificial turf," John Carroll head coach Gary Lynch said. "However, on this night, playing on turf yet again at another venue, Centi was not slowed down by the elements or Notre Dame. All three of her goals came from about 20 yards out. She had a Franz Beckenbauer-like match."

Centi's first tally came 20 minutes into the contest, then she tucked away another blast 10 minutes later to give the Patriots a 2-0 halftime advantage. Ten minutes into the second half, Centi wrapped up her hat trick with a final long-distance goal.

John Carroll goalkeeper Gina Maiorana had three saves in the shutout.

Cobras shut down

Harford Tech suffered a 2-0 shutout victory at the hands of the visiting Rising Sun squad on Wednesday.

The game was tied 0-0 after one half of play.

Harford Tech goalie Julie Ransone racked up five saves in the loss.
