Two field hockey teams went to battle Monday in non-league action and both, North Harford and Bel Air, were winners.
North Harford (9-2) picked up its win at Dulaney, where the Hawks won, 4-1. North Harford led at the half, 2-0.
Sophie Crowther, Kara Parks, Becca Rinaca and Maddy Dolinar each scored goals in the win, while Rinaca and Hannah Kehring had assists.
Liza Slavin accounted for Dulaney's goal.
North Harford goalie Abby Phillips finished with five saves and Dulaney keeper Angela George made four saves.
Bobcats beat Indians
Bel Air (4-5) picked up another non-league win Monday, beating visiting Franklin, 2-1.
Sara Teesdale scored both Bel Air goals, with Jessica Vasquez and Madison Healey each assisting respectively. Bel Air goalie Meghan Mingioni had five saves to earn the win.
C. Milton Wright stays perfect
C Milton Wright (4-0, 9-1) remained perfect in UCBAC Chesapeake Division play Friday with a 4-0 victory over visiting Bo Manor.
Sophomore Sabrina Rhodes opened the scoring less than two minutes into the contest with an assist from Brooke Williams. Fellow sophomore Haley Matthai added a second goal with assist from Jenny Eckert for a 2-0 halftime lead.
Second half goals for CMW were scored by Emily Jachelski with another Eckert assist and Audrey Boroshok scored after a pass from Madie Adams.
CMW's sophomore goalie Sydney Rhodes was credited with two saves in the first half and Nicole Leighty came on to make three saves in the second half.
Hawks beat Bobcats, Friends
North Harford (4-1, 8-2) stayed on the heels of CMW with its 4-0 win over visiting Bel Air (0-4, 3-5) Friday evening in Chesapeake play.
Sophie Crowther, Kara Parks, Becca Rinaca and Maddy Dolinar each had goals for the Hawks.
Maddy Dolinar and Haley Ensor also had assists.
North Harford goalie Abby Phillips recorded one save before Amanda Carter came in, but didn't made any saves. Bel Air keeper Meghan Mingioni had six saves. North Harford led at the half, 1-0.
North Harford also beat Friends, 8-1, Saturday on the road.
Crowther led the scoring with four goals, while Parks added two. Maddy Dolinar and Juliet Dolinar each had single goals.
Maddy Dolinar also had three assists and Hannah Kehring had two.
Amanda Carter made two saves in goal for the Hawks, before Jess Hart came on and had no saves. The Hawks led 5-0 at halftime.
Huskies beat Tigers
Patterson Mill (2-2-1, 3-5-1) evened its Chesapeake record Friday, beating visiting Rising Sun 5-0.
Alex Lebovic, Julie Sibbesen, Linnea Gonzales, Maria Mazariegos and Alyssa Jourdan each scored single goals.
Katie Meek and Gonzales dished out two assists each and Mazariegos had one.
Maddie Hedrick had two saves in goal for Patterson Mill.
Eagles beat Warriors
Host Aberdeen (1-3-1, 2-6-1) won its first Susquehanna game Friday, beating winless Havre de Grace (0-5, 0-9) by a 5-0 score..
Megan Lutrey paced the winners with three goals and Ana Neuman had a goal and two assists. Isobel Hawes also had one goal.
Cobras fall in OT
Harford Tech (1-3-1, 3-5-1) lost in double overtime, 3-2, Friday at Elkton in Susquehanna action.
Lyndsey Endlich and Mikaela Hairston tallied Tech's goals and Brooke Fullem had one assist. Tech led at the half, 2-1.
Tech goalie Kenady Schwinn had 12 saves.
Cougars lose on road
Fallston lost on the road at Bryn Mawr Friday, 4-1. The Cougars trailed 1-0 at the half.
Jenna Caldwell scored the lone Fallston goal, assisted by Lindsay Summers.
Fallston played two goalies with Sarah DiMaggio making three saves and Kristina Baker making four saves.
