The Harford Tech boys volleyball squad won another matchup Tuesday night, defeating the visiting Havre de Grace Warriors in three straight contests.
The host-team Cobras took the first game 25-10, won the second 25-14, then wrapped things up with a 25-10 win in the final game.
Nick Waite had 10 kills, seven aces, four blocks and two assists in the victory, while Zack Valenti posted seven kills, nine aces, one block and four assists. Josh Winter notched two kills and six aces for the Cobras and Hunter Norcross came through with three kills. Nate Paradis led the Cobras in assists with 10, while Harford Tech's Jarrett Booz and Nick Ferrara each had two kills.
Havre de Grace's Sebastian Pruitt had four kills and one ace, while teammate Josean Ponce registered four kills and one dig. Sean Darney had one kill and a team-best three assists in the loss. Paul Butz posted one kill and one dig for the Warriors, while Randy Sorrentino and Waseem Sidik both had one dig.
CMW shuts down Patterson Mill
The C. Milton Wright Mustangs won in three straight games on the road Tuesday, defeating the host-team Patterson Mill Huskies, 27-25, 25-16 and 25-13.
John Grotke led the winning side, posting 20 kills, three assists, two blocks and three digs. Justin Pezzella had three kills, four aces, three blocks and a team-best 27 assists, while Mike Moss had four kills, one ace and four digs.Copyright © 2015, The Baltimore Sun
