Patterson Mill tops Havre de Grace in boys soccer Wednesday

The Patterson Mill Huskies earned a road win Wednesday, beating the Havre de Grace Warriors, 3-0.

The victory put Patterson Mill at 5-1-2 overall and 1-0-2 in Chesapeake (upper) Division play. Havre de Grace fell to 4-3 overall and 1-2 against Chesapeake Division opponents.

The Huskies' goals were evenly spread out, with Patrick Springer, Laz Cardwell and Phil McDonald each finding the Havre de Grace net one time.

Providing assists in the victory were Danny McKee, Joey Matassa and Brandon Ortiz.

Patterson Mill goalie Ian Dowding had four saves in the shutout.

Hawks undefeated

The North Harford boys soccer squad earned a 2-1 victory Tuesday over the visiting Hereford Bulls to improve to 9-0-1 overall.

The game was tied, 1-1, at the halftime break.

Brooks Billings and Kevin Thompson each scored in the victory.

Providing the Hawks assists were Chris Winks and Kyle Six.

North Harford goalie Robert Fiackos racked up eight saves in the win.
