Patterson Mill tops Towson, 1-0, in Monday boys soccer

The Patterson Mill Huskies won going away Monday night, beating Towson High, 1-0. The game's lone tally came in the first half, when Patterson Mill's Colin Carroll scored an unassisted goal.

Patterson Mill goalie Ian Dowding had 10 saves in the victory.

"The defense of Tom Trzeciak, Brandon Ortiz, Danny McKee and Tom O'Neill were outstanding all game long," Patterson Mill head coach Wes Rich said.

Hawks crush North East

The North Harford Hawks posted an 8-0 victory over the visiting North East Indians on Monday.

Zack Stike and Noah Krach both scored twice in the victory, while Randy Foster, Garrett Sadtler, Mick Green and Kyle Six each netted one goal. Six led the Hawks in assists with two.

North Harford tops at tourney

Playing in the championship round of the Cobra Kickoff Tournament at Harford Tech on Saturday, the North Harford Hawks walked away with top honors by beating host-team Harford Tech, 8-1.

Josh Scholz led the winning side with a four-goal effort.

Mick Green, Zack Stike, Randy Foster and Cameron Brosh each scored once for North Harford.

Greg Ransone scored Harford Tech's lone goal. Cobras' goalie Adam Bednarek posted eight saves in the loss.

In the opening round of the tournament, North Harford shut down Edgewood, 6-0, while Harford Tech topped Joppatowne, 6-0.

Joppatowne won the consolation game, beating Edgewood, 1-0.

Bobcats whitewash St. Paul's

In the opening round of Saturday's Bel Air Mixer tournament, the host Bobcats rallied to a 4-0 victory over St. Paul's.

The tournament's title round was canceled due to foul weather.

Nat Hand led the Bobcats, scoring two goals, while Carson Kalama and Drew Adams each scored once.

Kalama, Adams and Andrew Marinich each dished out one assist.

Huskies over Franklin

In a Friday home match with the Franklin Indians, the Patterson Mill Huskies came away with a 2-1 victory in overtime.

The Huskies took the lead in the first half, with Phil McDonald providing the opening goal, and teammate Laz Cardwell dishing out the assist.

With 15 minutes remaining in regulation, the Huskies were called for a penalty inside the 18 yard box and the Indians converted the penalty kick, tying the game at 1.

In the first overtime, Patterson Mill's Jake Ross scored the game-winning goal with an assist from Joey Matassa.

Patterson Mill goalie Ian Dowding racked up five saves in the victory.

Harford Christian wins

The Harford Christian Eagles cruised to a 6-1 victory over visiting Bo Manor Thursday.

Harford Christian kicked off its scoring when Seth McCarty netted a goal with an assist from Alex Caldwell.

The Eagles' next goal came from Jordan Crank, who scored unassisted.

John Wilson scored the hosts' final goal of the first half, with Ian Edwards supplying the assist.

Bo Manor's lone goal came just before the halftime whistle.

Seth McCarty struck again early the second half, with Wilson earning the assist.

Noah Akers made the score, 5-1, with Markus Tittel providing the assist.

Seth McCarty completed the hat trick, and supplied the Eagles with their final tally, scoring with an assist from Wilson.

John Carroll over CMW in OT

The John Carroll Patriots won a thriller Thursday night, beating the host C. Milton Wright Mustangs, 2-1, in overtime.

John Carroll led, 1-0, after the first half, but the Mustangs tied things up in the second.

Camillo Fortunato and Devin Smaldore each scored for the Patriots, while Colby Fell was credited with the winning side's only assist. CMW's lone goal was scored by Ryan Kinney. Mustang goalie Logan Keys had six saves.
