Huskies tame Warriors

Patterson Mill (13-4 overall, 8-4 Chesapeake) earned a home-field win Friday by knocking off Havre de Grace, 14-4. The game ended after five innings due to the 10-run mercy rule.

Havre de Grace led, 4-0, after its first two at bats, but the Huskies scored once in the bottom of the second, added two more in the third, and took the lead for good with a five-run rally in the fourth. Patterson Mill scored six more in the fifth inning.

Alex Abild led the Huskies, going 3-for-4 with three RBIs and two runs. Zach Scheuerman was 1-for-1 with two walks, one double and one RBI, while teammate Chad Hall went 2-for-3 with one RBI. The Huskies' Max Thompson drove home a pair of runs on sacrifice flies.

Havre de Grace's Zach Patterson was 1-for-1 with a pair of runs scored, while fellow Warrior Logan Poore was 2-for-3 with one RBI. Dominick Bolen, Keith Sifford and Dan Jamison all had one RBI for Havre de Grace, while Bobby Smith scored once in the loss.

Rams win by one

Edgewood took a one-run victory Friday, beating visiting Baltimore Lutheran, 6-5.

The guests took a 5-4 lead in the top of the sixth, but Edgewood tied the game at 5-5 in the bottom half of the inning, then scored the game-winning run in the seventh. Edgewood's top offensive contributor was Omighty Verdejo, who ripped a triple and a double.

Fallston pounds Aberdeen

The Fallston Cougars won in five innings at home Friday, dispatching Aberdeen (4-13 overall, 3-10 Susquehanna), 12-1. The game was halted after five innings because of the 10-run mercy rule.

Leading the Fallston lineup was Kyle Tyree, who roped two hits, scored once and had three RBIs. Wyatt Alexander had two hits, one RBI and a team-high three runs in the victory. Aberdeen's Trae Fenner was 1-for-1 with a double and one run.
