In a wrestling dual meet that featured 10 pins, host North Harford beat Havre de Grace, 44-30, Wednesday evening. The same evening, C. Milton Wright used the strength of nine forfeits to roll over Joppatowne.
In Pylesville, each team had five pins, but North Harford got the advantage in overall scoring with the help of a forfeit and a couple decisions.
Blake Fetzer picked up a pin at 113 pounds, beating Kylee Barber in 1:25. Jordan Avig followed at 120, stopping Shawn Collins in 1:12. Logan Smith pinned at 145, beating Tommy Butler in 1:22 and Mike Teller pinned Nick Scarborough in 1:50 at 170. Andrew Miller collected the final North Harford pin at 182 with a 1:37 fall over Amy Kling.
The Warriors pins came from Ryan Wilson, who pinned Greg Fiackos in 2:18 at 126 pounds, while Josh Nuce stopped Ty Sadowski in 1:29 at 132. Chris Schulz stopped Patrick Lawrence in 1:00 at 160.
At 195, Justin Wolbert pinned Zac Edwards in 4:33 and Jesse Vancheri closed out the wins with a 1:42 fall over Dustin Beall at 285.
In two bouts that didn't finish in a pin, North Harford's Kevin Griffin went to overtime to beat Daniel Peters, 9-5, at 138, while at 106, North Harford's Trevor Smith won a 15-0 technical fall over Ryley Armstrong.
The Hawks also won a forfeit at 152 (Ethan Andrews gets win) and at 220, neither team had a wrestler.
Mustangs beat Mariners
In a dual meet littered with nine forfeits, C. Milton Wright defeated visiting Joppatowne, 64-18, Wednesday afternoon.
The Mustangs were recipients of seven of the forfeits, while giving away two themselves.
In matches wrestled, CMW won four of the five. Spencer Hellman, 132, Philip Flint, 160, and Ty Rochester, each won by pin, while Mickey Glendon won a 12-3 major decision at 182.
Kevin Johnson was Joppatowne's lone contested match winner, earning a pin at 145.
Panthers beat Eagles
Perryville picked up 10 wins in Wednesday night's dual meet with visiting Aberdeen in a 54-23 win for the Panthers.
Perryville got off to a fast start, with two straight pins. At 145, Justyn Seamons pinned Zack Hoffman in 3:13, while Amos Harlan pinned Jasaan Beck in 3:13 at 152.
Aberdeen earned one of its four wins at 160, with Will Vendetti decking Lucas Gardner in 57 seconds. At 170, in the tightest match of the night, Perryville's David Doring decisioned Tyler Fletcher, 2-0.
At 182, Jake Ritter accepted one of three Aberdeen forfeits, while Dustin Krahn pinned Aberdeen's Shawn Sullivan in 1:41 at 195 and Logan Kelly stopped Adric Turner in 3:28 to extend the Panthers lead.
Aberdeen put together back-to-back wins in the heaviest and lightest weight classes. At 285, James Blackwell pinned Patrick Mentz in 3:41 and at 106, Dylan Morris pinned Corbin Porch in 1:31.
Perryville took two more forfeits at 113, Justin Harreld, and 120, Chris Brown, before winning two of the final three bouts.
Joe Antoshak went to overtime to beat Daniel Velez, 8-3, at 126 and Andrew Brown pinned Chris Banko in 4:55 at 132 for the Panthers last win.
