C. Milton Wright prepared itself for its UCBAC schedule on Friday, shutting out visiting John Carroll, 5-0. The Mustangs led 1-0 at the half on a Angela Kuhn to Julia Omara goal with 8:26 remaining in the half.
Megan Frailer added a penalty kick, after getting taken down in the penalty box, to open the second half scoring. Liz Burgee added a goal just :50 later, assisted by Kathy Kammerer.
Emma Krebs tallied the fourth goal with assist from Kuhn and Frailer closed out the scoring with her second goal on an assist from Katie Burgee.
CMW goalie Stacey Venanzi made seven saves.
Cobras blank Warriors
Harford Tech opened its Susquehanna schedule Friday, visiting Havre de Grace in a night contest. The Cobras jumped ahead, 1-0, in the first half and settled in for a 3-0 win.
Tech goals were scored by Cierra Singleton, Sarah North and Kersten O'Brien. Dana Waskiewicz and Shannon Conlon were each credited with assists.
Tech goalie Julie Ransone made six saves and Havre de Grace keeper Riley Arnold had 12 saves.
Rams beat Eagles
Edgewood picked up a non-division win Friday, beating host Aberdeen, 3-1, despite trailing at the half, 1-0.
Morgan Tildon put Aberdeen ahead in the first half, but Edgewood countered with three unanswered second half tallies. Edgewood scorers were Caitlin Rankin, Ladae Boykin and Megan Poniatowski, with Alyssa Rankin dishing out an assist.
Aberdeen tops Tech
In the lone girls soccer game played Thursday, Aberdeen and Harford Tech battled on the turf of the Cobras in Churchville. The contest, a non-UCBAC division game, was won by the visiting Eagles, 1-0.
Aberdeen's lone goal was scored by Leah Hardin, breaking up a scoreless tie in the second half.
Aberdeen keeper Lisa Eller finished the game with four saves and Tech goalie Julie Ransone had three.
The result left both teams with records of 2-1.
