Wednesday was a light day for girls soccer action, but a few teams found time to play.

Among them, Edgewood hosted and beat Hammond, 3-1, in non-league play. The Rams led 1-0 at half.

Edgewood (2-1) goals were scored by Caitlin Rankin, Ladae Boykin and Megan Poniatowski. Boykin and Alex Van Grafeiland each had assists.

Hawks beat Mariners

North Harford and host Joppatowne played Wednesday night after storms canceled Tuesday's game. The visiting Hawks (3-1) won, 9-0. Joppatowne slipped to 0-2.

Bobcats lose

Bel Air lost at Howard, 5-3, leaving the Bobcats winless after three starts. The Bobcats trailed 4-3 at the half.

Shannon Williams scored twice for Bel Air in the loss and Caroline Lozzi scored once.

Bobcats keeper Karlie Scherba made nine saves.
