Two of Harford County's best girls lacrosse teams – Fallston and C. Milton Wright – faced off Thursday in a Chesapeake Division matchup.

The visiting Mustangs (1-0/5-2) jumped out to a 6-3 halftime lead and stayed on top for a 10-6 victory. And in other girls lacrosse Thursday, Edgewood beat Joppatowne and Harford Tech and Havre de Grace also won.

Katie Gallagher led the Mustangs over the Cougars, scoring four goals and assisting on another. Abby Smucker added two goals and assisted on four others. Brooke Williams also scored twice and Katie Burgee and Sara Nolan each scored once. Nolan also had one assist.

Sam Nolan and Christina Wright led Fallston (1-1/3-3-1) with two goals each. Heather Summers and Courtney Laubach added a goal apiece and Laubach had the Cougars lone assist.

CMW goalie Heather McKee had 12 saves, while Fallston had Grace Deckert (five saves) and Jordan Wagner (one save) each saw time in the nets.

Hawks beat Indians, Mercy

North Harford had an easy time in winning Thursday, beating visiting North East, 16-3, in Chesapeake action. The Hawks (2-0/7-2) led at the half, 10-1. The Hawks also won Monday in non-conference action, beating visiting Mercy, 18-8.

In Thursday's win, the Hawks got scoring from 15 different players. Leah Monticello was the lone Hawk to score twice. Single goal scorers were Katie Clark, Hannah Russo, Courtney Blevins, Kelli Gerding, Emily Eline, Emily Clark, Jami Mayo, Hannah Kehring, Nicole Latgis (two assists), Brittany Boden (one assist), Shannon Mansberger, Sofie Crowther (one assist), Baily Saneman and Julia Schrof.

Hawks goalie Shelby Morris had six saves.

In Monday's win, Monticello and Boden each scored four goals. Emily Clark added three goals and Katie Clark had two goals and two assists. Gerding and Maddie Dolinar each had a pair of goals and assist, while Mansberger also scored a goal. Morgan Knox and Schrof had assists.

Hawks goalie Haley Ensor made six saves.

Warriors beat Tigers

Havre de Grace stayed atop the Susquehanna with a 12-8 win at Rising Sun Thursday. The Warriors (2-0/4-2) led at the half, 8-4.

Six different Warriors scored two goals - Eva Villareal, Haley Dean (one assist), Brianna Haffey (one assist), Carly Thompson (two assists), Margaret Stump (one assist) and Katie Thompson (one assist).

Abbie Blessing had 13 saves.

Cobras beat Elks

Harford Tech joined Havre de Grace atop the Susquehanna standings after the Cobras went to Elkton Thursday afternoon and beat the Elks, 14-11.

The Cobras (2-0/3-1) were led by Marisa Braungart's five goals. Morgan Grannas scored four times and Gabby Spalt netted three. Haley Knotts rounded out the scoring with two goals.

Tech goalie Juliet Lloyd had nine saves.
