With the biggest UCBAC Chesapeake Division girls basketball game looming Thursday, Patterson Mill kept its division title hopes alive Tuesday night at Bel Air.
The Huskies (8-1 league, 13-5 overall) powered past the host Bobcats (5-5, 9-8), 70-38, setting up Thursday night's upper division showdown at division leading Aberdeen. The Eagles beat the Huskies, 60-57, on Jan. 10. Thursday's game tips at 7 p.m.
Morgan Golec led the Huskies in Tuesday's win, scoring 25 points, while Qalea Ismail finished with 18 points.
Bel Air was led by Emily Strawbridge, who scored 10 points. Patterson Mill led at the half, 30-12.
Rams still unbeaten
Edgewood (11-0, 13-5) all but locked up the Susquehanna (lower) title Tuesday, wining big at Perryville, 50-23. Shania Stamper paced the Rams with 18 points.
Cougars upend Elks
Fallston (1-8, 4-14) was able to get a Chesapeake win by overcoming a 14-point halftime deficit. The Cougars trailed visiting Elkton, 28-14, after two quarters, but rallied in the final two quarters to win, 49-44.
Logan Gasior pumped in 25 points to lead all scorers, while Phoenix Offutt added seven points and Lindsay Summers finished with six.
Warriors lose at Bo
Havre de Grace (5-6, 5-10) slipped back under the .500 mark in Susquehanna play Tuesday, falling at Bo Manor, 28-24.
Jenna Kitts led the Warriors with six points and Lauren Herrington added five points.
HCS wins big
Harford Christian (12-7) outscored visiting Calvary Baptist Church Academy, 23-5, in the first quarter Tuesday and rolled to a 71-23 win.
Chloe Akers continued her recent scoring binge, tossing in 24 points. Leah Edwards added 10 points, while Taylor Lavin and Kelsey Williams each scored eight.
Williams also grabbed 10 rebounds and Grace Shanahan made five steals.
Also Tuesday in Susquehanna play, Joppatowne (5-6, 5-12) lost at Rising Sun, 35-32.
