The Aberdeen Eagles returned to local competition Tuesday night and pushed their unbeaten streak to 17 in a girls basketball contest with visiting Bel Air.

The Eagles rolled out to a 34-11 halftime lead and never looked back in a 71-28 UCBAC Chesapeake Division win.

Aberdeen (8-0, 17-0) was led by Brionna Jones, who put together another double-double. Jones scored 28 points and pulled down 12 rebounds. She also blocked three shots.

Nia Alleyne and Erica Jones each scored 10 points.

Brooke Lorber led Bel Air (1-7, 2-15) with nine points, while Jasmine Mutunga scored eight.

Cougars beat Cobras

Fallston (5-2, 10-6) picked up a Chesapeake victory Tuesday evening, beating visiting Harford Tech, 48-31.

Alyssa March poured in 20 points to pace the Cougars, who led 25-13 at the half. Rachael Holehouse also reached double figures with 14 points.

Emily Edmunds scored 12 to pace Tech (0-8, 3-10), which went 0-for-5 at the free throw line. The Cougars were 14-for-20 from the stripe.

Rams beat Indians

Host Edgewood (6-3, 9-8) added to its Susquehanna Division win total Tuesday with a 66-30 win over visiting North East.

The Rams led at the half, 34-19.

Shania Stamper led the Rams with 18 points, while fellow sophomore Jada Hatcher netted 17 points. Tymira Stamper added eight points and Kia Robinson scored seven.

Mariners beat Elks

Joppatowne (7-1, 14-3) stayed a game back of Aberdeen after posting a 66-35 win over visiting Elkton in Chesapeake Division play Tuesday night.

The Mariners led 20-12 after one quarter before opening up a 36-17 halftime lead.

LaKiah Huff led the Mariners with 18 points, nine rebounds and three steals, while Cierra Tourville and Felicia Okoye tallied 10 points apiece.

Mustangs beat Tigers

C. Milton Wright (9-0, 13-4) continued its unbeaten season in Susquehanna play Tuesday night with a 53-29 victory over visiting Rising Sun.

Allie Appleby scored 13 points to lead the Mustangs, while Abby Smucker added 11 points and seven rebounds. The Mustangs led 24-14 at the half.

Huskies beat Eagles

Patterson Mill (8-1, 11-5) had no trouble in keeping a game back of CMW, winning 82-8 at Bo Manor Tuesday in Susquehanna action.

Qalea Ismail's 16 points led four Huskies in double figures. Morgan Golec added 14 points, while Elizabeth Wilson and Carlee Lund each scored 11.

Panthers beat Warriors

Havre de Grace (2-7, 2-13) dropped its Susquehanna contest at Perryville on Tuesday, losing 56-36. Whitney Hynson led Perryville with 23 points and 10 steals.
