Patriots lose big
Visiting McDonogh left no doubt to the outcome of Friday's game at John Carroll, leading big early and running away with a 59-18 win. The Patriots could muster little offense on the night scoring fewer points (eight) than turnovers (13) in the first half as the Eagles cruised out to a 23-8 lead at the half.
The second half was no better for John Carroll as the Patriots were beaten in every aspect of the game by McDonogh.
"We knew the jump to the IAAM A Conference was going to be tough," Patriots head coach Mike Blizzard said. "Tough is an understatement. We need to get in the gym and do some hard work and some soul searching. We won't give up like we did tonight, I promise."
Dajah Logan led all scorers for McDonogh with 14 as all nine Eagles scored. Rita Watson had eight points for the Patriots.
HCS falls to 7-4

The Eagles fell behind 31-15 at the half and never closed the gap to less than 10 points. Leah Edwards led the Eagles with 13 points and Kelsey Williams finished with nine points. Amanda Good led with nine rebounds.
