C. Milton Wright won its fourth straight game Friday night, using big plays to beat Havre de Grace, 21-6, in a UCBAC Chesapeake Division opener for both. The game was played at Bel Air High School. John Carroll also went to 4-0 and North Harford won big in other Friday night football.

With neither team finding the end zone for almost a whole half, both teams scored points in the final 2:14 of the half.

CMW (1-0, 4-0) did it in one play when Osiah Walker hauled in a 61-yard touchdown pass from twin brother and quarterback Omar Walker. Osiah caught the pass about 35 yards down field and then spun away from four tacklers before racing untouched the remainder of the yards for the score. Matt Phillips added the extra point.

A failed onside kick by CMW gave Havre de Grace great field position at its own 48 with 2:14 left in the half.

Havre de Grace (0-1, 0-4) used all of it, scoring on the final play of the half.

Warriors quarterback Lavell McCullers, seeing his first action of the season, tossed a 44-yard touchdown pass to Jahre Jordan. Jordan out battled a CMW defender for the ball, though it seemed the defender had the ball, but the referee signaled touchdown. The extra point was low into the line and no good.

CMW pushed the lead to 14-6 in the final minute of the third quarter. Fullback Ryan Christ (11 carries, 52 yards) broke free on a 27-yard touchdown run.

The Mustangs then added the final blow midway through the final quarter. Tyler Dameron fielded a punt at his own 10-yard line, worked right and then back across to the left en route to a 90-yard punt return touchdown.

Will Hazelton had two receptions for 68 yards for CMW and Osiah Walker had two catches for 70 yards.

Cameron Doe led Havre de Grace with 65 yards on 10 carries and Shawn Cardwell added 44 yards on 11 carries. McCullers finished 5-for-13 for 67 yards with a touchdown and an interception. McCullers also ran for 33 yards on 1 carries.

Fallston edges Bel Air

The Cougars kept their football record perfect Friday night, but it wasn't easy as Fallston just barely edged the visiting Bel Air Bobcats, 12-10.

With the win, Fallston moved to 4-0 for the season. Bel Air dropped to 2-2.

John Carroll also 4-0

John Carroll also moved to 4-0 with a lopsided win Friday night over visiting Annapolis Area Christian School. The Patriots piled up more than 400 yards rushing again en route to a 51-14 win. The Patriots led at the half, 34-14.

Aberdeen knocks off Joppatowne

The Aberdeen Eagles topped the visiting Joppatowne Mariners, 34-0, in a Friday-night football tilt.

With the victory, Aberdeen improved to 2-2, while the Mariners fell to 1-3.

Leading the Eagles was running back Dante Warfield, who rushed for a pair of touchdowns.
