Earlier this month, thunder and lightning put a stop to a field hockey game between North Harford and Aberdeen. Tuesday the two met again in Pylesville, where the Hawks defeated the Eagles, 5-0, in non-division play.
Maddy Dolinar paced the winners with two goals, while Sophie Crowther, Becca Rinaca and Kara Parks each had single goals. Rinaca, Parks and Crowther also contributed assists. The Hawks (4-2) led 2-0 at the half.
North Harford goalies Amanda Carter and Jess Hart both saw action without either making a save. Aberdeen goalie Abby Harrison finished with six saves. The loss dropped Aberdeen to 1-4-1.
Tome beats Warriors
The Havre de Grace Warriors field hockey team suffered another shutout loss Tuesday, falling 3-0 to the visiting Tome School of North East. Tome scored all three goals in the first half.
Presley Brown put Tome ahead in the first minute, scoring the first of her two goals. Brooke Thompson had the other Tome goal.
Tome held a 10-3 advantage in corners.
Havre de Grace (0-6) goalie Taylor Smith made seven saves.
HCS blanks Rams
Harford Christian School hosted Edgewood Tuesday, winning 6-0. Leah Edwards scored three goals and assisted on two others in the win. Lissi Druyor scored two goals and Ericka Cullum also scored a goal. Lily Loomis and Stephanie Tittel also had assists for the Eagles.
