Three Harford County boys lacrosse teams - Patterson Mill, Fallston and Bel Air - won region championships Wednesday and advance to state semifinals today (Friday) or Saturday. North Harford, meanwhile, wasn't so fortunate as the Hawks were beaten.

Bel Air, meanwhile, got the taste of a region title for the first time in school history. The Bobcats traveled to Howard High School and returned with a 14-8 win over the Lions, claiming the 3A-4A South title. North Harford lost at Hereford, 16-4, in the 2A-3A North championship.

Patterson Mill and Fallston will both play in state semifinals at Bel Air High School. Patterson Mill will play Friday at 8 p.m. against South Carroll. Fallston will play Saturday at noon against Northwestern of Baltimore City.
