Boys lacrosse playoffs started Friday, with Havre de Grace, Fallston, Patterson Mill, CMW, North Harford and Bel Air picking up wins to advance.

Warriors beat Cobras

Havre de Grace used a 7-2 fourth quarter scoring advantage Friday to upend host Harford Tech, 14-9, in 1A-2A East boys lacrosse play.

The Warriors led 3-2 after one quarter but the game was tied 5-5 at the half and 7-7 after three quarters.

The Warriors got four goals apiece from Justin Gosnell, Brian Cameron and Connor Haffey, while Brad Davidson and Chris Anderson each had single goals.

Casey Brown and Anderson each contributed two assists, while single assists were credited to Gosnell, Nick Burley, Donald Matts and Cameron.

Tech's scoring was led by Zack Valenti's three goals and Brett Haas netted two goals. Single goal scorers were Tyler Fullem, Dan Ashburn, Zac Taylor and Garrett Selander.

Thomas Burley, Greg Ransone, Haas, Ron Huber and Mike Mentzer each had assists.

Havre de Grace played two goalies with Cameron making five saves and Derek Freels making seven.

Tech goalie Sean Klein finished with 13 saves.

Fallston tops North East

The Fallston boys lacrosse team played its way into the region semifinals Friday, easily beating visiting North East, 19-2, in a Class 1A-2A East quarterfinal.

In Friday's win, Kyle D'Onofrio, Greg Horsham and Jeremy Scranton each scored three goals to pace the Cougars. Zach Wheeler and Garrett Wolf added two goals apiece, while single goals were added by Ryan Bonhoff, Sam D'Onofrio, Robbie Kansler, Tommy Kisielnicki, Jason Lawrence and Luke Ward.
